Our eyes are often the focal point of our face, especially while mask-wearing; it's the only feature most people see! As we spring forward to the warmer months, we’re ditching the tired look for a more refreshed face. Here are some of our provider’s favorite treatments for our patients that focus on rejuvenating their under eyes:
PRFM, or Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix, is an amazing treatment to restore the under eyes. For the right candidate, a series of PRFM treatments can thicken the skin under the eyes and help with discoloration. The results of this treatment can last up to one year!
For those with volume depletion under the eyes, filler can be a great treatment to provide a more balanced look. At The Things We Do, we use filler products containing synthetic hyaluronic acid to support the under-eye area by restoring volume and hydration.
Botox is a fan favorite that can be used for so much more than just wrinkles! Microtox is the technique of sprinkling botox across the treated area to reduce the appearance of fine lines. For those looking to soften their under eyes, this can be a great option!
While these treatments are wonderful, at-home under-eye care is just as important! Aside from getting enough sleep, products and tools are a key factor for maintaining a refreshed looking and feeling face.
Here are some of the products we carry that you can begin incorporating into your daily skincare routine to target the under eyes:
Youthful Eye Jelly
Our Youthful Eye Jelly is a popular product in all of our healing spaces! With ingredients like hyaluronic acid and licorice, this under-eye treatment will work to tighten and brighten your under eyes. The jelly-like consistency hydrates the skin and is great for oily skin types. Patients who experience milia under the eyes will also benefit from an eye jelly rather than an eye cream.
Botnia Eye Cream
Patients with dry under-eyes or crepey skin can benefit from the Botnia Eye Cream! With its peptides and hyaluronic acid-based formula, this eye cream is great for replenishing skin in need of hydration. Insider tip: this is a great product to use as an overall facial moisturizer too!
Colorescience Total Eye 3 in 1
Total Eye is great for treating dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines, all while working as an SPF! Since our under eyes are ⅙ of the thickness of the rest of our skin, we need to be making sure they’re protected from the harmful effects of the sun, especially during the day.
Nuria Eye Masks
Under-eye masks are great right before a night out, or comforting for a night in! Simply apply them for 10 to 20 minutes and peel off, letting the residue soak into the skin. Your under eyes will thank you later.
Cryo Skincare Ice Rollers
Pop these ice rollers in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours for 6 hours of cold therapy. Gently press or glide these babies under your eyes and you’ll see a difference in just minutes! They’re great for depuffing, promoting circulation, and relieving inflammation.
